Total Rehabilitation on "All-on-4" Dental Implants
This procedure is used when there is a need to replace all the teeth in an arch through a fixed prosthesis, generally on 4 or 6 dental implants.
With the placement of a reduced number of dental implants, it is possible to replace about 12 teeth per jaw, which results in a faster and less invasive procedure.
The fixed prosthesis on implants can be made in different materials and consists of a metal bar with 4 or 6 holes where the dental implants are screwed, offering great stability as well as aesthetic and functional improvements.
Dental Implants in 1 day
After placing the implants, if there is no contraindication, a crown or provisional prosthesis can be placed on the same day – this is what we call "immediate loading".
This solution was developed with the aim of offering greater comfort to patients, not only functionally but also aesthetically, allowing the person to leave the clinic with "teeth" and with a solution that is already very close to the final result of the treatment.
After the recovery period in which the implant is fixed to the bone (osteointegration), which can last from 3 to 8 months, the definitive crown/prosthesis is then placed.
Removable Prosthesis on Dental Implants - Overdenture
Unlike traditional "dentures" that are fully supported on the gum and/or the remaining natural teeth, this solution allows you to fix the prosthesis to the dental implants, increasing their stability and comfort.
In the case of "Overdenture", the implants work with an “O'ring” retention system, which is characterized by retaining the prosthesis in the mouth through rubber rings. These rings will make the connection between prosthesis and implant with a male-female system in which the prosthesis fits like a spring, allowing its removal whenever necessary.
As a simpler and less expensive solution, it has been widely accepted by patients who already use dental prostheses but who are looking for a more comfortable and efficient solution.
